Pressure in Fluids
Boyle's Law Apparatus Pascal Vases Pascal Ball
Boyle's Law Apparatus
This low cost apparatus is great for demonstrating Boyle's Law, (elasticity of gases. A plastic syringe is mounted on a wooden base. A piston is mounted to a platform that holds various size weights, allowing students to plot pressure versus volume of gases in the cylinder.  9" x 6" x 2"
  No. SF222-BA.  Only $12.95
Pascal Vases
For demonstrating that the pressure of a liquid at the bottom of a vessel is proportional to the depth of the liquid and is independent of the volume and shape of the vessel.  Consists of three borosilicate glass vessels of different shapes, open at both ends, having ground edges and bottom openings of equal size.  Provided with plastic disks and attached hooks and strings so that when vessels are immersed bottom down, water pressure  hold the disk in place.  Used to show that the depth of the vessel when water is poured inside is independent of the shape of the vessel.
  No. SF222-PV.  Only $18.95
Pascal Ball
This device is used to show that water pressure will transmit in all directions. consists of a hollow sphere connected to hand pump.  The sphere has an outer diameter of 3 inches and a capacity of 250ml. Ten projected nozzles are evenly distributed on the sphere. For some extra fun, stick balloons on them.   Instruction manual included.  14" x 4" x 4"
  No. SF222-PB.    Only $39.95
Venturi Apparatus Pressure Syringe
Both of the above are made of clear glass.  They have been colored to make them easier to see.
Venturi Apparatus

For demonstrating Bernoulli's principal that any restriction in fluid flow results in increased speed and decreased pressure.  Comprised of a borosilicate glass tube (8cm long and 18mm in diameter) with a constriction in the centre and the three vertical openings in different sections. Includes three glass manometer tubes and rubber connecting tubes for measuring pressure at three locations. Ends are flared.
  No. SF222-VA.  Only $8.75

Pressure Syringe

Demonstrates that liquid pressure is transmitted equally in all directions. Consist of a borosilicate glass bulb (50mm diameter) with holes.  Filled with a piston for compressing liquids.  Total height is 250mm.
  No. SF222-SY.  Only $9.95
Open Manometer Demonstration Manometer
Open Manometer
A multiple-use manometer for accurate measurement of gas pressure.  Consists of a borosilicate glass manometer tube with a 50cm arm having funnel top and a 25cm arm with riffle for each connection to rubber tubing.  Mounted on wooden board fixed to a wooden stand.
  No. SF222-MA.  Only $17.95
Demonstration Manometer
For measuring the pressure of gases. Suitable for moderate pressures. Consist of a borosilicate glass U-tube (diameter 25mm) with 50cm high open tubes at both ends. Has one riffled arm for easy connection to rubber tubing.  Mounted on a wooden board fixed to a wooden stand.  A metric scale is fitted the arms of the tube.  It is recommended to use color water for greater visibility in demonstrations.
  No. SF222-MD.  Only $26.95.
