Thermodynamics

The term "thermal" refers to temperature and "dynamics" to energy.  Some materials conduct heat and they are known as conductors and others do not.  They are known as insulators.  Heat can be transferred through conduction, convection and radiation.  The reason that the physics of temperature change is explored in regard to heat is that you cannot add cold.  Refrigeration is accomplished through the removal of the heat.  When he goes, guess what is left?  This section provided science kits, activities and a wealth of apparatus to explore this fascinating area of physics.
Science Kits
We've only been able to find one, but it's really comprehensive.  Measure thermal conductivity and thermal expansion of various metals; explore the methods of heat transfer including conduction, convection and radiation/
Basic Apparatus
All the goodies you need for experiments and classroom demonstrations.  Ring and Ball Apparatus, Conductometer, Compound Bar,
Standard and Electric Calorimeters, Specific Heat Specimen Cylinder Set, and Melting Pint Apparatus.
Linear Expansion Apparatus
For accurately measuring the the coefficient of liner expansion of electrically conducting materials such as metal rods.
