| The term
"thermal" refers to temperature and "dynamics" to energy. Some
materials conduct heat and they are known as conductors and others do not.
They are known as insulators. Heat can be transferred through
conduction, convection and radiation. The reason that the physics of
temperature change is explored in regard to heat is that you cannot add
cold. Refrigeration is accomplished through the removal of the heat.
When he goes, guess what is left? This section provided science
kits, activities and a wealth of apparatus to explore this fascinating
area of physics.
