Inclined Plane
Work: Plane And Simple
Students investigate the difference between inclined planes and screws. They measure the force required to lift objects. They explore the amount of work needed to move objects. Each kit contains enough materials to do the experiments repeatedly, a materials list, an activity guide, instructions for 8 to 12 learning packed activities, safety instructions for children to follow, background information and more! This fun-filled kit comes packaged in a sturdy, plastic container that makes storage a breeze!   Sorry, we don't have a picture available, so used the one for Clever Levers, which shows extensiveness of these kits.
  No. SK290-KA. Only $39.95
Inclined Plane Kit
For determining the coefficient of kinematic and static friction, mechanical advantage and efficiency of an inclined plane.  Comprised of a hardwood inclined plane (600 x 100mm) fitted with a pulley at the free end. It is hinged to a horizontal polished wooden base, which is fitted with an aluminum arc graduated both vertically and angularly.  The inclined plane can be fixed at any angle up to 45 degrees or at a suitable height with a clamping wing nut.  Supplied with a cylindrical plated metal roller, two wooden blocks, a steel block and scale pan, cord and hook.
  No. SK290-PK.  Only $49.95
Inclined Plane Friction Kit
This device is used to study the friction between two surfaces and the forces on an inclined plane.  The inclined board can be set at any angle been 0 and 45 degrees.  A hanging pan is provided to hold the desired weight. Two wood boards with different sizes and metal plate are included.  You can determine the coefficient of static friction and the coefficient of sliding friction and verify the normal and frictional components of the force exerted by the plane.  Comes with extensive Instruction Manual.
No. SK290-PF.  Only $54.95

Double Cone and Incline
For the dramatic and puzzling visualization of the effect of change of center of gravity of an object.  Consists of a pair of wooden double ended cones, a wooden diverging bar 0 to 10cm wide, that serves as an inclined plane.  When the double cone is set on the bars of the incline, the cone appears to roll up the plane, violating the law of gravity.  This is possible because the axis of  the cone is actually moving downward due to a widening of the track.  Fascinating.
 No. SK290-DC.  Only $15.95
ABS Inclined Plane
This rigid four foot heavy duty steel pane is finished with a heavy coat of baked enamel.  It features two screws to adjust level and facilities for the mounting of a pulley set.  Often used in conjunction with the Multipurpose Cart for experiments in kinetic energy.  Does not include cart.
  No. SK290-DE.  Only $34.95

Multipurpose Cart Halls Carriage
Multipurpose Cart
This is little vehicle that. can be used in a variety of experiments including investigations of speed, circular motion, velocity, time, force, mass, acceleration and kinetic energy.  Fabricated out of ABS resin and steel, this versatile cart measure 3.25" x 8" and is virtually indestructible.  Features built-in receptacles to receive up to three hexagonal 1/2 kg masses.  Comes with a motor mount and water clock.  Middle and High School.
  No. SK290-CA.  Only $32.50
Halls Carriage
This durable carriage has a one-piece high impact plastic body. the machined aluminum wheels and axles are mounted on hardened steel cone bearings for minimum friction and long life.  Designed to be used with all types of inclined planes.  5.75" long
  No. SK290-CB.  Only $14.95

Friction Apparatus
This set includes a friction block and a friction board, both made of high quality, smoothly finished pine wood.  The friction block has a hook for a spring scale and two compartments for additional weights.  It can be placed face up or sideways.  You can vary the weight or area of contact to see how they impact the friction force. Comes with three 50 gram weights and 100g spring scale. Board is 10" x 2". Block is 4 x 1.5" x  1.
Comes with comprehensive study manual.
  No. SK290-FA.  Only $29.95

Linear Motion Apparatus
This unit is designed for use in the study of motions in a straight line, including the motion with constant speed and the accelerated motion. A trolley cart can move on a nearly frictionless horizontal or inclined track, with or without driving force.  The distances the cart travels every 1/60th of a second are recorded on a tape by a spark timer (included). You can analyze the data to determine the velocity and/or acceleration for each motion.
 30" x 6" x 7".  Instruction manual included.
  No. SK290-MA.  Only $179.95
